Terms of Service
Welcome to Corinium Cleaners. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our website and in-store services, including dry cleaning, laundry, alterations, preservation, and related offerings (collectively, the “Services”). By using our Services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Services & Orders
- We will exercise reasonable care in processing and handling your garments, textiles, and specialty items.
- Please inform us in writing of pre-existing conditions (loose seams, missing buttons, damage, stains, color loss, fabric weakness, etc.).
- Stain removal is not guaranteed. Some stains may be permanent due to age, setting, or prior treatments.
- Turnaround times are estimates and may vary based on item type, condition, volume, and special requests.
2. Pricing & Quotes
- Prices are displayed in-store and on our website for common items. Specialty items are quoted after inspection.
- Prices are competitive and may change without notice. Prices may vary by fabric, construction, and garment condition.
- Any promotional pricing must be presented at drop-off and cannot be combined unless explicitly stated.
3. Payment & Charges
- Payment is due upon pickup unless a prior arrangement exists. We accept common payment methods as posted in-store.
- Unclaimed items may accrue storage charges after a reasonable period.
- Sales tax and applicable fees may apply.
4. Garment Identification & Tickets
- Please retain your claim ticket and verify items at pickup. If you do not have a ticket, a valid ID may be required.
- We rely on care labels and industry-standard methods. If an item lacks a care label, you authorize us to use our professional judgment.
5. Damage, Inherent Risks & Limitations
- We are not responsible for inherent weaknesses or defects in materials that may be revealed during cleaning (sun fading, dye migration, shrinkage, wear, age-related deterioration, weak fibers, etc.).
- We are not responsible for items left in or on garments (pens, jewelry, adhesives, ornaments, belts, etc.). Please check all pockets and removable accessories prior to drop-off.
- For any service issue, notify us within 48 hours of pickup and present the original receipt and item(s) for inspection.
- Liability is limited to the lesser of: (a) ten (10) times the cleaning charge for the item, or (b) the item’s fair value considering age, condition, and depreciation.
- For multi-piece items (e.g., suits, drapes, comforter sets), we recommend cleaning all pieces together to minimize color variance.
6. Lost or Missing Items
- Discrepancies must be reported within 48 hours of pickup. We will conduct an internal search and review our records.
- If an item is confirmed lost, our liability is limited as described in Section 5.
7. Alterations & Tailoring
- Fittings may be required. Please try on altered items at pickup when possible.
- Adjustment requests should be made within 7 days of pickup. Additional fabric or notions may incur charges.
8. Specialty & Preservation Services
- Wedding gowns, ethnic wear, leather/suede, household textiles, and preservation services may require extended processing or third-party specialists.
- Preservation results depend on storage environment and handling; long-term outcomes cannot be guaranteed.
9. Pickup Options
- We may offer pickup options in designated areas. Availability, scheduling, and service areas are subject to change.
- Please ensure items are ready and accessible at the scheduled time. Missed pickups may be rescheduled subject to availability.
10. Website Use & Content
- Website content is provided for general information. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.
- All site content, logos, and branding are owned by Corinium Cleaners or its licensors and may not be used without permission.
- Links to third-party sites are provided as a convenience; we are not responsible for their content or policies.
11. Privacy
Your use of the website and Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
12. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
- Services are provided “as is” and “as available” to the fullest extent permitted by law.
- We disclaim all warranties not expressly stated in these Terms.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Corinium Cleaners harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the Services or violation of these Terms.
14. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control (e.g., severe weather, power outages, supply disruptions, labor issues, or other unforeseen events).
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect upon posting to this page with a revised “Last Updated” date.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict of law principles. Venue is proper in the courts of Cook County, Illinois.
